I want to put my son in his 1st swim class next month.  Do I have to use a "swim diaper"?  I bought 1 Charlie Banana swim diaper but it looks small, almost speedo like  LOL.  If I put this on him, can he wear just the swim diaper or do I need to put on a pair of swim shorts over them?

My motherease swim diaper looks like a little speedo, too. I would put some swim shorts on my DS, though I would be tempted to want to show off that swim diaper.

I generally use a cute bathing suit over the swim diaper.

Oh, but to answer your question, yes, he can wear just the swim diaper.

You can just use the swim diaper, but I love the tiny lil swim trunks, so I put them over our swim diapers.

Mine just go in the swim diaper by itself (Mother-ease).  I think the speedo look is cute!

My son wears trunks over his swim diaper if we're at a public pool.  I might be paranoid but I'm also always scared some anti-cloth person will say that he needs to be wearing a Lil Swimmers or whatever disposable swim diaper.

I just use a Bummi's Swimmi by itself.  Never had anyone say anything.  But he is still so young (5 months).  I guess when he is walking around, I will probably use something over top.

According to my silly OCD pool regulations I have to put a swim suit over my swim diapers :( but they'd be fine on their own.

we use iPlay swim diapers. they have the speedo type and trunks with the diaper built in. At our swimming classes, all kids under 4 have to have 2 swim diapers on (1 sposie and 1 cloth, or 2 cloth). Check with your place.

I just use an unstuffed pocket dipe for a swim diaper.

2 diapers a day likely isn't enough unless you are potty training. I can easily do 10 diaper changes a day for my youngest. I think the website is honestdiapers.com, but you should be able to search for it on the internet. I'd link for you, but I'm mobile.

i had one like that!! they're designed to not need anything else over them unless you want to.  they also make swim trunk like ones now, i can't think of a brand ATM-- the tags in mine are worn out
I'm sure you're coming for me. BOO!! trick, or treat?
