I grabbed this coconut oil http://www.carringtonfarms.com/Flax-Products/Coconut-Oil.php last night for $15 (54 oz) at Costco! It's unrefined extra virgin, same as tropical traditions, which is on sale for $55 for 64 oz. and it's $5 cheaper than vitacost brand. I feel like getting more because costco so often only has things once!

How long does it last unopened? I had some go rancid recently for the first time ever because there was a tiny bit left and I opened another jar when I needed a lot for baking, then forgot about the mostly empty one- when I went to use it it was So bad it burned my throat!

How does it taste, Katie? I just had DH price it out at Costco this week and it is the best price around. I was hoping it had a nice taste too.

Good deal! Our closest Costco carries Nutiva coconut oil (or they did last time I was there, anyway).

Nice! Our Costco also carries Nutiva brand, it's something like 74oz. for $17. It's the best price I've ever found on great coconut oil!!

That is interesting about it burning your throat. I've had Tropical coconut oil for years and never had it go obviously "bad"

That's a great deal.  I have been getting Nutiva through our UNFI club but I bet our Costco is selling something now.  I will have to check next time I go.
