Night Circus

I chose this book for my book club last month and everyone really liked it and wanted to suggest it here for anyone looking for a good book to read.  It is a fantasy but set in the real world in the early 20th century.  Two magicians set up two students to compete against each other to see who is the best and the setting for the competition is the night circus.  The imagery is just beautiful.  So many descriptions of the circus that make you just want to be there and experience it yourself.  And there is a romance in it.  Even some who didn't normally read fantastical books enjoyed it.  The first chapter isn't the best but if you read past it it really grabs you in.  I finished it in one day as did a few of my friends despite our home responsibilities.
