I have a chance to get the dipe I want, but it's pink. Should I get it for my son anyway?

The first dipe I ever purchased for my son was pink! It was on clearance, and since I was just trying it out to see if CDing was for our family, I used it despite its color. He still wears it, but usually just at night. Other than my husband teasing ME about it every once in a while, my son doesn't get any grief over his hot pink fluffiness.

I can't really respond to the poll since none apply to me. I would say "I would use a pink diaper as long as no one could see it".

Boston used to have a Caribbean Cool GM and now has a Pink Ooga and Purple Ooga embellished prefolds.  If you love the diaper or print I say absolutely it is just a diaper and how often do people see it?  On the other hand I wont put a pink shirt on him or anything girly for clothing but a diaper I say go for itThumbs%20Up

I would do it. I've thought about it before but never wanted anything that much. I don't see the big deal since it will either be covered up or only seen around your house.

Hmmm...

I voted the first one because I have the Caribbean Cool GM that was mentioned (the majority of this diaper is BLUE, I will add) , and we also have Paradise GM, which like CC, has a few pinky orange sripes in it.  Overall, these two diapers are blue and yellow.  But I can see where they would be considered "girly".  Calvin wears them with indifference.  :)  Mama is happy.

I would say that I would definitely put a pink one on a boy if you love the dipe. Esp. like BG Zinnia---it's totally GN to me

YES! Ds2 was suppose to be a girl LOL (the woman who was doing ultra sound told us that) so I got a lot of pink clothes when he was born- and i had to use them! hahaha So pink diaper wouldn't be any problem for us.

there should be an "other" - i've put a pink diaper on ds, i don't particularly care for pink though, but a diaper is a diaper to me, doesn't matter what color it is.

If it was all pink and very girly, no. But if it was more GN and just had a little pink, then yes. I don't care if other people do it, but I just can't put pink on my son!

I have a lavender Fab fitted that i love on DS, i have 2 PB&E preflats that came to me in raspberry, and DS picked a pink SSS cover.  We don't use them outside the house, but i figure who cares at home, it's a poop catcher.

I use my DD's HH and BGs on my DS that are pink, they are velcro and my DH prefers them, nobody sees it and it saves me from buying more daddy dipes.

This!  I'm pretty much into bright GN colors to begin with though.  Certain shades of purple I'd do.  If we have a girl, I still can't imagine a whole lot of pink in her wardrobe/stash.

I wouldn't. Purple on boys doesn't bother me at all (DS has some and I use them all the time) but pink is just too girly imo. And if I didn't like the color or constantly felt the need to only use it when no one was looking, then it would just take away from the joy I get from using cloth diapers, kwim. Not to mention DH would protest and I'd be afraid DS would protest once he's a little older.

Now if I had a DD & DS in diapers I could see it happening sometimes out of necessity, but that's another story.

Sure, I would not mind pink if I had a boy. I put boyish diapers on my daughter because they are cheap. She even wears clothes my friend's son has outgrown but only in the house.

I wouldn't buy a pink diaper for a boy. If I had one already, I might use it around the house if I were desperate, but I kind of doubt it. Nothing wrong with it, IMO, but I just wouldn't do it.

I think it would depend on the dipe. I probably wouldn't buy a pink, girly diaper for a boy. But, if the new LO is a boy, he'll be wearing his share of girlie dipes at home.

Okay...I will be the one to come out and say "NO WAY"!!!!  LOL  But then I won't put Hayden in anything that I feel is remotely boy.  I'm very gender specific....but if you are on the fence it sounds like you would be okay with it!
