The only positive thing about these covers are the adorable prints (which is why I gave it a two and not 1). They caused terrible red marks and scratch marks from the velcro, and they NEVER EVER fit right!!!

These are some of my favorite velcro covers. (My absolute favorites are the Mommy's Touch One Size.) I use these mostly over snappi'd prefolds and occasionally over a fitted diaper. I've never had a problem with leaks and they're really cute!

We bought the covers as part of the diaper kit, but were it not for the great sale price, I dont think we wouldve gone with these. Here's why:
the covers are really sturdy- after 5 months of use there's a bit of wear on the velcro but otherwise in great condition. And we only had an occasional leak, mostly overnight (we never used more than one prefold).
My problem with these covers is mainly in the sizing. They are supposed to fit 7-15 lbs, but we found that they only fit properly from 10-12 lbs. We couldnt even use them until our daughter was 8 lbs, and stopped using them at 14 lbs. And most of the time, the velcro digs into her belly, and the elastic digs into her back, leaving a very painful-looking red mark.
Overall, I'd say that if you're on a budget, these diapers are a good choice but if you can afford to pay more, you're baby will thank you for the extra comfort.

I loved the prints and had seen excellent reviews on the product, so I assumed they'd be a slam-dunk. Unfortunately, I only used them initially a few times until I had to move on to something else.
For my daughter, the fabric seemed really crunchy and stiff. They didn't cover the prefolds well. The waist was so thick and crunchy that it dug into her.
Wish I could say they worked for us, but in this case they did not. The prints are beautiful, though.

I was completely sceptical, but I love my SWW (in the flower print!!) I use bummis prefolds and bamboozles and I swear my daughter loves them both. What's incredible is the washing though. I would never think this, but my covers look brand new still. I understand why you can use them for a second baby. SUPER investment!

I bought my Bummis Super Whisper Wrap used on Craigslist and the previous owner had used it for 5 months. It came to me in perfect condition and is still in practically new condition after an additional 4 months of use by me. This is a WORKHORSE cover! It does not leak no matter what style of diaper I use under it, including trifolded prefolds, fastened prefolds, and fitted dipes of all shapes and sizes. I will definitely get more of these when I need more covers.

The snappi version is far better than the velcro version in that it leaves no smell of urine after a while of use.
They are very efficient and reliable as far as leaks go, I have not had any at all lately with these covers, and they dry within 12 hrs, I always hand wash mine.
They don't stain either, I use a bit of blue dawn power scrubbers washing up liquid after washing in liquid clothes wash, just to get any poop off and it always comes off completely.
The only issue is they do leave a bit of a red mark on baby's legs by the morning, though I check they are not on too tight by ensuring I can fit one of my fingers between the diaper rim and my baby's skin all round. I use these over night with a prefold and microfiber insert and a fleece liner.

I started using these on my size Med baby several months ago. I have several covers, but I'll compare them to Thirsties, as that's the other popular/comparable brand. I vastly prefer them over Thirsties, as my baby has chunky thighs. I use them over snappi'd pf's and haven't had any leak issues. I also like the way the outside feels. It's a little thicker, and not as plastic-like as Thirsties.
The velcro has held up well, although I hand wash them daily and machine wash weekly (I just find it quicker to wash them at the end of the day in the sink). I have found I prefer snaps to velcro on a PUL cover, since it rubs my son's belly (if he were in crawling stage I wouldn't use velcro at all)... but that's a personal preference, and not brand related.

These come in some of the cutest prints! Love the new limited edition stars. My baby is napping right now in a Bummis flower print medium. I started her out in a newborn, but she outgrew that in about 4 weeks. She got tall fast. She has been wearing this medium cover for abotu 10 months and it still looks great. My only complaint is that since the laminate is sandwiched inside, these covers tend to pick up urine smell faster than Super Brites or Thirsties. Some parents prefer these though, since they have no gussets (better for chunky thighs) and they have no exposed shiny side to touch the baby. Some prefer the shiny side exposed so they don't pick up odor as fast - and we have never had a problem with the shiny type covers causing any irritationg. Personal preference kind of thing. In any case, we just wash the covers after 1-2 uses instead of 3-4.

These aren't my favorite. They are cute, but left red marks on my baby's tummy. I also don't like that they don't have leg gussets, so it was hard to make sure there weren't any leaks. I think they might work better over fitted diapers, whereas we used them on prefolds.

Why make things complicated??? These covers are simple, inexpensive, and work just as good as any other. I had Thirsties for months, and altho they worked fine, the fit on my slightly chuny DD constantly led to red elastic indentations on her thighs. Booroi's gave me the same issue.
BSWW does not have leg gussets, which is great because there is no irritation on DD's thighs. I believe that a cover will only work as good as the diaper underneath it. If there are leaks or blowouts, the majority of it should have been kept in by the diaper itself. I have no complaints about these and am currently working on building a stash of them. I use mostly prefolds.
BTW, if you handwash your covers by just swishing them in warm water and a sprinkle of baking soda, they will always look new!!! As long as you do this and air dry, you won't have to worry about pilly trim or velcro issues.

Junk yup if you want to waste your money on something that won't even last 6 months then this is the cover for you. I bought these covers because the lady that taught my wife about cloth diapers had them. Well I figure that is the only way people by these things because if anyone has used another brand they would go elsewhere. To bad I bought 6 to begin with the aplix on these started popping loose at 4 months. Sent a complaint to Bummis never got a response. Wish I would have read reviewer that said they will never last the year a baby is in medium. Live and learn. They fit ok on smaller kids but as they get bigger they are harder to keep in the size they call for. One nice thing is the cloth lining on the inside but that is the only nice thing I can say about these. Save yourself some money and headaches and go with Thirsites if you want quality.

From the manufacturer
Thank you for posting your concerns. We, at Bummis, stand behind our products 100% and always take customer service very seriously. I am very sorry that you never received a response from us as it is our desire to offer outstanding customer service. Our mission is to help people to be successful in cloth diapering. We sell thousands of covers every month and have less than a ½ percent returns (almost unheard of in the textile industry) because we focus on having excellent quality control in our factory here in North America. However it is possible that a component, even when manufactured here in North America, will not meeting the specifications of the manufacturer, in this case, hook and loop made by Aplix. It is NOT normal for a product to not last for four months and we DO want to hear from you. I encourage you to call our toll free line at 888-828-6647 so that we can help you resolve this issue to your satisfaction.
Thanks!!!

These have been an absolutely fantastic fit on both of my children in all sizes from newborn through large, over either prefolds or fitteds, day or night, and they USED TO have really cute prints (they keep discontinuing the cute ones and replacing them with ugly ones, go figure). But anyway, these are the best-fitting diaper covers I have ever used--they work great at the waist and the legs, are adorable and seem comfortable. I have had very few leaks and the few that I have had have been from going too long between changes.

I have no idea why people like these! Yes, cute designs. At first it seemed well made...but then we used them and they are showing wear & tear so much more than my Thirsties! They have pilling everywhere! No, I don't even put my covers in the dryer-I line dry them. I will never buy these again.

The bummis wraps are made with nice materials but the velcro will make the fabric pill after a while and it doesn't look so nice. I never ever had a problem with leaking or blowouts with these which is nice. I used the mediums on my daughter from a couple weeks old (10 pounds) to 4 months old (17 pounds). They fit a little loosely at first but were tight on her by the time she reached 17 lbs. I have to admit they were bulky. But the patterns were cute and they seemed to breath better than normal PUL covers. They would be much nicer if they were made one-size and with snap closure.

they are a little crinkly, thick on a newborn. i had a couple of blowouts but only if i had a prefold trifolded into the cover, or just a hemp doubler laid in there. this is on a brand new baby. i didn't like how the legs got way too tight on my little chubbers legs as he started putting on fat. if i put it on loose enough on his legs to not leave horrible marks the waist was WAY too loose.
basically not for chubbered legs babies. the NB size did last past 10lbs when there was a doubler in instead of a whole prefold though. i'm sticking to thirsties, but that's just me.

This cover came in my Bummis Organic Prefolds kit and I thought it was super cute and could not wait to use it, then I actually tried to use it with no luck! I could not get the prefold in the cover without some part of the prefold hanging out! The legs did not actually cover the prefold at all, so it would not stop a runny poop or lots of pee from leaking! Thank goodness the kit came with 2 Bummis Super Brites, they work great and I love them! I gave it a 2, not a 1 because they are super cute and soft, I just wish they worked!

I like them. After one day of use they really stinks (Thirsties not so bad) if the baby pees a lot probably the cover is going to get wet. Never used them for night time so can not tell.
I'd buy them again if I had to. BUT just with ""flat"" diapers (whatever kind but flat). If the diaper is bulky is better to get thirty covers.

I love my BSWW. We've been using them in a large rotation of prefolds and pockets for 8 months! The size small covers still fit my daughter great!! I didn't think they'd last from newborn until now, but they do!
The only problem I see with them is getting pilly and the occasional leak through if your baby is a super soaker. These are great and I wouldn't change them now!!

We love these covers, they are durable and the fit is great. I have tree children with different body types and we have been able to fit all of them comfortably in these covers. We mainly use them with kissaluvs and prefold diapers. We have had two covers that had issues with minor velcro fraying, however given we own about 6 covers in each size, we just figure they came from a bad batch. They are still useable... just not as pretty or as easy. We love these covers, that just can not be said enough. The negative reviews confuse me!

I have been using Bummis Super Whisper Wraps since I started my daughter in cloth. I see now that even though I enjoy other products and styles of diapers, I could have gotten away with only prefolds and Bummis covers. I like BSWW better than the Super Brites, because they're soft on the inside where the Super Brites are ""sticky"" feeling on the inside. They have cute prints and they hold up well. We've moved onto the Medium size now, but all of the smalls I had her in are in great used condition and ready to be used with another baby.
One, specifically the Lime Polka Dot, gave me a problem, the PUL separated in the center of the diaper. I contacted their customer service and within a matter of days, I had my diaper replaced and return shipping envelope so they could take a look at what happened to the cover. So, on top of the excellent product, they have super service. All in all, my fave diaper company!

These diaper covers will leak if you use the wrong kind of laundry soap, such as All Free and Clear. When I first got them, they were wonderful but after a few months, using them was like using nothing at all. Now that I know not to use F&C laundry detergent, I might try them again.

I use prefolds and I have these wraps with velcro and snaps. Although I love the prints available only with velcro, I wish I bought all snaps. They fit better, stay on better, and are more durable. I prefer bummis over thristies, and imse vimse wraps. They haven't leaked and fit nicely over a trifolded prefold. As my toddler slimmed down from becoming more mobile, the thirsties and imse vimse are don't fit so well but the bummis are still good, especially the snaps. I hate seeing a red mark on my dd's belly from rubbing on velcro closures - we don't have that problem with the snaps. I wish they offered the cute prints with snaps but I guess a white diaper is cute too!

I agree with the previous review...these are fabulous in the smaller sizes, but my skinny guy has completely worn the Aplix on all of his mediums (used for 12 months.) I contacted Bummis and they are suppposed to be sending me some replacement Aplix for my covers. Nice, huh?! I hope it gets here soon because his pants keep falling off. All in all, these are my favorite, I just wish the Aplix held up better. I must say, they've held up much better than his Thirsties. I also wish they made the snap style covers in the cute prints.

I only recommend these covers in the NB and S sizes. The reason why is that the Medium (and probably larger sizes) WILL NOT HOLD UP FOR THE LB RANGE OF THE COVER, being 15-30 lbs for the Medium size. The velcro simply does NOT hold up. I have 2 of these and I have to throw them away because the manufacturer only guarantees the BSWW for 6 months. Are you laughing yet? What baby goes from 15-30 lbs. in 6 months? THE SHORT: The Medium BSWW does not hold up for the year+ that it will take your child to go from 15 to 30 lbs. You have been warned mama.
Note this review does not reflect on the place that I purchased the cover -- I contacted Bummis directly and they quoted me the 6 month guarantee.

This cover is super cute. I loved the print, unfortunately I don't love the cover. It works OK, but not as well as the Thirsties IMO. It is too stiff for my taste. That said, I don't think it leaves red marks as badly as the Thirsties does.

At first I didn't like these as well as the proraps, but they seemed to 'grow' a lot better with my LO and I had to quit using the proraps a couple of weeks before these, because my LO outgrew them. We also purchased a couple of prints/brite from a different store and liked them more the more we used them. Eventually switched to AIOs.

After using these even longer, I dilike them even more. My last review which I am updating was posted in mid january. I find they work for very short periods of time where no moisture comes in contact with the material. The two I have sit in the drawer unused because they just don't work for us like the other brands do. The prints are cute but other than that.. ugh. I feel like I wasted my money.
