Purchased in 12/2007. Used this item for 17 months. Date Posted: 5/4/2009

We've been using Little Beetle diapers since my son was 5 months old - he is now 22 months old.
We loved them at first, but eventually the cons began to outweigh the pros.
I strictly use Charlie's Soap for my diapers and yet, they smell horribly of ammonia and give my son a TERRIBLE rash (and yes, I have stripped them). I'm so fed up with it, and have finally decided that the health my son's bottom is more important than making these diapers last until he is potty-trained.
Other than the smell and rash factor, I was very upset to find, very early on into our experience with LBs, that the Snappis make large holes in the diapers. ALL of our diapers have holes in them.
Almost all of the LB boosters have either detached from one side of the diaper, or have completely fallen off.
If I do not dry the diapers in a dryer (on low heat, of course), the diapers are hard and crunchy.
I have also occasionally used gauze flats (purchased in the UK) and I must say, their durability and ease of use have far outweighed the LB quality. I can air dry them, they agitate so well in the washer and never come out looking dirty, they've never had to be stripped, and they don't smell of ammonia. Flats cost SO much less, and I doubt I'll ever purchase an LB again.
I love the idea of such nice, organic diapers, but they just haven't impressed me much. :-/

We always put customer service first and stand behind our products 100%. Different laundry products work differently on each of the varied fabrics used in cloth diapering. Charlie's Soap is not a laundry item we recommend for use on our organic cotton diapers. We are happy to discuss laundering with our customers and should be contacted in the event that fabrics show deterioration at an unusual rate. Often, further fabric damage and skin issues can be prevented.
