Positives:
1)Come in fun colors
2) Side snaps make it hard for my toddler to take off
3) Washes well
4) good night diaper with pre-fold insert
Negative:
1) my average size guy is on the highest setting for the larges, and any higher causes red marks.

I bought 3 that have the bamboo velour 3 months ago. They are the first diaper I grap for my son. He's on the thinner side and these are the one of the best fitting diapers I have found for him. They are so well made and the colors are beautiful. I just use an infant prefold as the insert and it works great!! I can't wait to try the medium husky for my super chunky little girl.

Love, love Gad's. Shannon has EXCELLENT customer service. Just this month I bought 3 pockets from her, one with embroidery, and when I got the she had embroidered a 2nd pocket to make up for slower shipping than expected! The diapers are beautiful.

I love GAD! I have about 15 that I bought used from a friend who put her TWO children in them, and they are still in great condition. I recently purchased a couple more new to complete my medium stash along with the terry cloth inserts, and they are incredibly soft. The inserts are great also. I love how you can fold them how you want.

I used Fuzzi Bunz smalls which I loved, but I love these even more!

I recently had the chance to do a review on A Green Acre Designs pocket diaper. I reviewed a size medium PUL with organic bamboo velour. I fell in love with the diapers. The inserts are very absorbent and I love that they have that extra flap to fold over where baby most needs the extra absorbency. You can check out my review here:http://tinyurl.com/27qb4a4 . I have no complaints at all and am now a Green Acre Designs fan!

I love these pocket diapers. I have two in diapers but the large fit both perfectly. My oldest called these his ""blankie"" diapers, so I would say he loves them too. I did have some problems with the snaps, I contaced the company and they were very nice and helped me get them fixed. They were very helpful, and nice.

I have been using GADs for over a year now. I started by buying a stash of used mediums and have purchased many since then. I was able to buy my first NEW GAD from Shannon last month. It is a custom embroidered large pocket, and we love it. I have purchased 2 other new embroidered pockets since then. Shannon has always been so helpful, even when all I could afford were used GADs with shot elastic. She even called me on the phone to talk to me and explain how to go about replacing the elastic.
These diapers are amazing. They come in all different sizes and are a good fit for any size/shape baby. They have elastic all around the waist and legs so there is never gapping or leaks. The color combos and embroidery options are awesome! I love the colored microfleece inners because they don't stain. I also love both of her insert options, hemp and microfiber.
I also have GADimals, windpro pockets and one-size semi-fitted pockets. We have loved all of these as night diapers. My 2 year old just loves her ""wuzzy"" diapers (GADimals).
These are my #1 favorite diapers and I plan to get a stash of smalls for our next baby!

Love the fit of the GAD diaper! Fits like a disposable; not too bulky. Love the colors they come in. They don't leave tight marks around the thigh. Don't have to adjust insert, it's always a perfect fit. The flap inserts are great because you can custom fit for boy or girl.

These diapers are my new obsession. I have tried many, many brands and this one fits my tall, lean son the best. It's unbelievably trim, especially with the GAD hemp insert, yet doesn't leak when I leave it on him for more than the usual 2 hours. They look so tiny when you receive them, yet stretch for a perfect fit. Plus she has extended sizing, such a Medium Long, to fit different body types. I wish I would've tried these earlier on so I could have comprised most of my stash with them. As it is, I am selling most of my stash to afford more of these! The owner of GAD, Shannon, is awesome too!

At first I was unhappy with the diaper, it leaked, but after contacting GAD (they responded VERY quickly) they informed me that the diaper really needed to be washed before first use. I was also concerned that the leg casings, only having one seam, allowed for leakage. I suspected that the inner fabric rolling out would be problematic. I was corrected, this is no accident. It's intended! It protects baby's skin from harsh edges and tight elastic. The soft inner fabric is what is up against baby's skin. The extra seam that most diapers have just puts more holes in the PUL which will cause it to leak sooner and it may not last as long as a GAD diaper.

I washed the diaper and put it on my 9 month old and no leaks after 4 hours! I LOVE the GAD insert! It allows me to bulk up the front for my little man and keeps him really dry during nap time. When he wakes I don't have to rush to change him, he's good for another hour or two at least!

I was unsure at first how I would like this diaper but I've been pleasantly surprised. I also love the side snaps, it seems more comfortable to him when he's sitting down. All those front snaps that other diapers have just get smashed under baby's belly, not with the GAD. The snaps being on the side give your baby's belly nothing but soft plush fabric under the belly when sitting.

I have NO complaints! They should invent a One Size Diaper to knock BumGenius and FuzziBunz down a few notches!

Purchased in 9/2008. Used this item for 18 months. Date Posted: 3/18/2010

I raved about these diapers when I first bought them in 9/2008 but after 18 months of regular use, I'm really disappointed. Up until two or three months ago, I had the 10 (I think) GADs in a rotation with about 15 FBs and I always reached for the FBs first, so it's not like the GADs were heavily used.

The leg elastic in half of the GADs is worn out and even on the smallest snap setting, I get leaks where I don't with the diapers that have held up better. I was always careful not to stuff right out of the dryer, and I line dry about half the time.

The snaps have pulled through the fabric so I now have two diapers that are totally unusable unless my daughter suddenly changes size. One snap pulled through the PUL and the other pulled through the fleece.

A third diaper (a custom) came apart at the seam on the front, a little way down from the snaps.

The GADimal I bought has never fit correctly, though it is supposed to be the same size as the other diapers I bought.

I now regret buying these diapers and wish I had bought Lg old-style FBs when I had the chance instead. I used those for much longer than the GADs with NO worn elastic or snap problems. I will not buy GADs ever again.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these diapers! I have a very chunky little girl (26 lbs at 11 mo.), so I love that I can get a diaper sized ""husky""! We got the husky mediums and they fit her perfectly, and have enough adjustability that if/when she thins out a little, we'll still be able to use them. I also love the inserts, they are sewn into a loop (so they dry faster) with tails that I fold to the inside and use in the heavy wetting area to get extra absorbency. Plus the colors are great and I really can't say enough good things about the customer service from Shannon. Don't hesitate to give these diapers a try!

We've been cd'ing for over 2 years now, and Green Acre Designs is still my all-time favorite diaper. I love the fit, the colors, and the absorbancy (we have to double-stuff now that DS is 2 years old). GAD was the first diaper brand I added to my online store because I liked them so much, and they're still the first diaper brand I recommend when asked.

We're expecting another baby now (#4!), and we'll definitely use GAD again!!

I am into my 6th week cloth diapering and I have been reviewing quite a few different diapers. I love this diaper. It fits perfect. We did not have any leaks and it was very absorbent. The best part was we had a huge blow out with no leaking out at all! Even DH was impressed.

Plus the design was so cute, you just wanted to pinch her heiny it was so cute.

I will be sure to be making another purchase.

My daughter is really long and skinny, which lead me to a medium long GAD addiction. These things really rock, I have had her in them from three months to now (9 months) and they have worked flawlessly. I have tried Fuzzi Bunz, Mommy’s touch one size, Happy Heiny’s sized and one size, Whammies one Size, Knickernappies, and Swaddlebees, and these are hands down my favorite. They really reduce ant butt and I have had no leaks. I have about 60 or 70 of these in every possible combination. Here is my take on the product line:

Regular PUL outer/fleece inner -- I cannot recommend these enough.

Regular PUL outer/microsuede inner -- fantastic as well, the advantage of these over the fleece is that the poo falls off of it easier.

Custom Cotton fabric lined with PUL outer -- not a fan of these, whatever I stuffed them with (GAD inserts hemp and microfiber, the bulletproof blueberry one size hemp microfiber combos, hemp doublers, you name it), they still leaked around the leg. The cotton also seems prone to fading.

Gadimals/Windpro - I use these for night time diapers. They are breathable and prevent rashes. The only downfall to both is that the elastic tends to get breaks in it. It seems Sharon has fixed this problem though because I just ordered new ones from her and they have the standard white elastic in them now (not the plastic kind).

Embroidered GADs – I bought several originally from GAD (via Diaper Swappers) the embroidery is flawless. I got new ones from Middle Earth Diapers, I actually like these better because the PUL is ironed on over the embroidery, instead of sewn over in a flap.

Organic bamboo velour inners - These are so soft, but the material tends to separate around the snaps (I usually just stuff it back in, and then it works fine). They are also a lot harder to stuff than regular fleece, and they stain easily. But you can’t beat having natural fleece up against your baby’s skin – its a tradeoff.

I discovered Green Acre Designs when my second child became too skinny for his other pocket diapers. We bought some larges that were used and they instantly became my favorite diaper. The range of sizes means you can get a perfect fit, which is key for pocket diapers. They have fun color combos, so no boring white interiors. My son named his diapers - the Superman was red and blue, the Batman black and red, the Ironman red and gold, etc. The side-snapping design gives a smooth and trim fit that doesn't sag or droop, even on the skinniest kids, and they last and last and last. Shannon gives excellent customer service. When I opened my own diaper store, these were the first diapers I applied to carry, and they are what my own baby wears 95% of the time. I cannot recommend them enough.

I had initially tried several different diapers before deciding to use GAD. I decided first on pocket because of the ease of cleaning and use. I liked some of the one-size pockets, but my toddler did not like the ones with velcro and I didn't like how others fit. I've now used GAD's for two different ages and sexes. I started using larges with a toddler who has been using them for almost a year now. They work great as a day-time diaper. They do leak after about 3 hours, but that is expected of most diapers I've found, so I don't use them at night for him. I instead use the semi-fitted GADs with a cover. I started using mediums with my infant when she was 2 months old. Again, they've worked great when wet and have even held some impressive poops with no leaks. I do use them at night with her but with a GAD cover. The occasional leak is usually due to diaperer, not diaper.
The diapers are of very good quality and the few I had problems with (snaps came apart or lining of shell disintegrated) Shannon was great on replacing. I found that the fleece lining is more durable with frequent washing and softer than bamboo if you hang them on a line. Even with hemp inserts they are bulky, but not enough that it is very noticable. I wish I had started using them when my son was an infant as they are durable, adjust to differet sizes well as the baby grows and work well as a diaper.
I did have problems originally with wicking, but after trying several different detergents and washing procedures, found one that worked and was easy. I will also post my experience with the inserts in that area too.

I am new to cloth diapering and HEAVILY researched which brands and types I would start with here on Diaperpin as well as other diapering blogs on the web. When I finally made my decision, GAD was a hands down due to the rave reviews I consistently came across. I had leak issues from the very start which was due, in part, to my inexperience as a new cd momma. I contacted the seller and she suggested some things to try, which I did. Her suggestions did improve my experiences with the gad diaper, but overall its performance remained very inconsistent. When it came time to select the diapers I would definitely go with from my trial stash, GAD missed the mark. I do appreciate the elastic at the tummy, and the trimness of the diaper; however, no matter which insert I tried or how careful I was stuffing the diaper, it was too unreliable at containing leaks, and cost me too much time in diaper changes to be worth continued use. If you are looking for a trim pocket diaper that has a good fit and consistently performs well, I recommend the Annie Marie Padorie pockets instead. They cost a bit more, but in my experience, are worth the added change.

Due to the many excellent reviews I found when researching this product, I decided to purchase a handful to use for my son--especially since I kept finding reviews on how well made these diapers were. At first I had some issues with leaking, and it took some trial and error with how I stuffed the insert, but it ended up resolving just fine. Initially I LOVED these diapers...they are adorable and trim! I liked them so much, I ordered more! Then, almost as soon as I ordered more, the ones I had initially ordered began to have snap issues--I contacted Shannon, and she offered to fix them for me, which I appreciated. I thought it was just a ""fluke"". A few weeks later, I had another snap issue with a different diaper, and the elastic on one of my diapers (which was only 2 months old at the time) completely failed...after I had followed the care instructions very carefully! I contacted Shannon again and she took care of it for me. The customer service was wonderful with these diapers. However, after a few more months of use I have continued to have issues with snaps and elastic on some of the remaining diapers that did not initially have issues...to where I have given up and sold all of them (disclosing their issues) and for a significant loss to myself...not to mention my disappointment--because I really did like these diapers. I realize that I could have continued to send them back to Shannon for free repair, but it got to a point for me where enough was enough! I would say the customer service was a 5, but the quality I would have give a 3. I'm sure it is possible that I just got a ""bad batch"". Needless to say, I was VERY disappointed over all! Shannon was wonderful to work with, very helpful--I'm sure if someone else went through this, and didn't give up like I did, they might have had a different experience.

These are the best! We started using them only at night and prefolds during the day. We are now increasing our inventory to use ONLY these. We use the bamboo velour with the hemp inserts. They are very luxurious. This combination with one doubler has lasted up to 10 hrs. with our very heavy wetter at night! Shannon's customer service is tops. It's so refreshing to do business with an actual mama instead of a nameless corp. Thanks Shannon you're the best!

This really is a great diaper, the only issue I have with it is the insert is just a little to long and I have to fold it up for my little girl, which makes the diaper a little more bulkier. For me be able to wear her clothes is the most important thing, I am a denim and cute shirt mom so with bulky diapers it is hard to wear denim, however she can wear some of her clothes with it which is better than the prefolds and covers. Overall the I haven't had any leaks and my husband just loves the cute designs on the butt, we love to just watch her walk around in this cute little diaper.

Our all time favorite diaper. Colors, fabrics and embroideries are wonderful, craftsmanship like nothing else, customer service perfect.
Gads and BG were the only pocket diapers ever that I could always rely on, but GAD's being an all time favorite.

At first I experienced lots of leaking, but then discovered that I needed to stuff the diaper better for my skinny superwetter. Ever since, I never had a leak. If I needed to rely on them to go far without changing, I simply used the Berryplush inserts, snap-side down.

The fit is perfect IMO, there is plenty of room for extra booster or thicker inserts, yet still, it is always trim. I also like how adjustable they are and I really loved the fact that the ML was a birth-to-potty diaper for us :)

I recomend tem to everyone :)

I cannot say enough about how wonderful and helpful Shannon at GAD is. I purchased my first GADs new upon the recommendations from several friends. I really liked the embroidery, so I opted to get two custom diapers. She was very patient and helped me to choose colors that went well with the designs I had chosen. I also then bought a plain diaper for $16. When the diapers arrived, I was thrilled with them. They fit my son perfectly with room to grow. The embroidery was also very well done. My son is a heavy wetter and always requires two layers of inserts. My GADs are one of my favorite brands that I rely on to avoid leakage. I have since purchased a few other GADs from diaperswappers.com. My son has also thinned out a lot and the diapers still fit fine.

A couple of months ago, I tried a different company’s diapers, because they looked good and the embroidery was a little cheaper. I got what I paid for. The embroidery was not well done and I even sent one of those back to that vendor. I should’ve paid the extra money to get the embroidery done right from GAD.

Recently, I had problems w/ two of the snaps on one of my GADs. I contacted Shannon and she told me that she would fix them for me. Not only was she more than willing to fix them, but she did it very quickly. Her customer service is AMAZING. I would highly recommend these diapers and her awesome customer service.

I just started using cloth diapers after a year of disposables. My son is fairly long and thin which made finding a good fit difficult. I love that Green Acres makes a Medium Long size, fits my son perfectly! The hemp insert and doubler is great as well. My son sleeps on his side which makes finding the perfect day time diaper crucial. Since using these I haven't had any issues with leaks during his naps.

These are elegantly designed diapers. Clean lines, no bulky seams and a range of sizing options --- which is so important w/pockets since getting no leaks is to a large degree about finding the right fit. I love that there's an option for bi-monthly customs spots so I can get exactly what I want. We use custom GADs w/a microchamois inner/organic cotton bamboo velour outer (under wool) for nighttime.
The GAD inserts are great too (personally i wouldn't use a loopy-do in them as other reviewer have suggested -- I have one and it seems too narrow). The two layer loop design keeps everything washing and rinsing well. and the extra flap that you can place anywhere makes it convenient -- don't have to fuss w/finding extra stuffing.
And Shannon is a pleasure to work with. I was a little bit of a high-maintenance customer (e.g. goofed my order) and she was always very kind and responsive.

Finally! We've spent months trying different dipes, and while I had found ones I liked, it wasn't until trying GAD's, suggested by another mom, that I've found the dipe I LOVE. We have a tall, skinny boy and have had trouble finding dipes that fit both his legs and tummy. We tried the medium/longs and it's been a HUGE success. We've had a leak, but that was due to too much time between changes. I've gotten rid of almost everything else to stock up on GAD's. And, the insert that comes with them from Baby Hope's is great!

I bought one to try and immediately bought more. I loved being able to buy a custom size and colors (for a friend's wedding). They fit well, don't leak and are soft. I already know these are going to last longer than my diapers with velcro (which are already pilling). Shannon is friendly, personable and answers all of your questions. I have another wedding coming up and will be using her again. Custom is the ONLY way to go.
