It's affordable, versatile, & comfortable. But there is so much room for user error. I have used this wrap so many times and I still wrap it too tight/loose on occasion. & I can only wear it for a limited amount of time before I get too HOT!

My Moby was given to me by a friend and I loved it and so did my baby. He would cry - as a newborn- until I would put him on then he would fall right asleep! Its like being swaddled to your mama's body. I have a good sling and and Ergo too but the Moby rocks for a newborn to about 5-6 months! Wish I would have had one for the first 4 but wont go without it again and it wont be going up on FSOT.

Every mom needs this wrap. I have used the moby with my toddler since her birth and now I use it with my newborn. It is HANDS FREE, unlike the maya wrap in which you need to support baby with one arm. The moby wrap is AMAZING: I do dishes, I wash laundry, I play with my toddler, I eat, whatever. Baby is nice and snug, close and warm, in your environment, and not left in some other room staring at the ceiling. My husband wears it too. I especially like this wrap for HIKING. We hike for hours and hours while baby is asleep, just pull her out to breastfeed (or not!). I used it for long hikes up until my toddler was about 25 pounds. It is comfortable and I have reccomended this wrap to every pregnant woman I know! It does take a minute to put on, like one minute, literally, not a big deal.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this wrap!! Can't say it enough- just get one;) I recommend them to every new mom I know. I far prefer this to all the 'carriers' and slings out there. it is so comfy- it spreads the weight out over your waist and shoulders. You can just toss it on and go shopping without the car seat- happy baby = happy mommy. So easy to pull baby in and out. It only took me two tries to learn how to put it on. The fabric is wonderful- soft, with the perfect stretch. My son was very 'high need', whatever you want to call it- this was the only thing that made him happy. I wore him almost 24 hours a day bc otherwise he would scream at the top of his lungs ALL DAY AND NIGHT. My husband wore it as well- in public! Why? It made baby happy! We walked or lightly bounced on an exercise ball in it to calm him. I swear this wrap saved my sanity! The best part- your baby gets to be in their favorite place and you get to have your hands free! Now my son is very very independent, I am so glad we bonded the way we did when he was little. I used the tar out of my wrap and it still looks great... I plan to get another for my next baby just bc I love it so much! I think this wrap is better for baby's back and posture than a lot of other carriers- it is very secure and soft, there are no strange pressure points and baby is right up against you. I always felt safe wearing it. My son's fav hold was tummy to tummy with legs out... I think the mistake a lot of people make is not putting it on right. Be sure to spread the cloth over your shoulders and start with it TIGHT- it is easy to loosen as needed. If you put it on loose, your baby will drop and it will be uncomf.

I have a love/hate relationship with my moby. I got it before my ds was born and wear it everyday for at least 2 hours.
Love: my baby will sleep in it for hours, both hands free I can do any chore I need to with him close enough to kiss on the head and he is happy, it's soft and he seems comfy. Easy to wash. He loves it and gets excited when he sees me putting it on.
Hate: it is soooo much material, you need to put it on before you leave the house or it will get dirty. It took a few tries to figure out how to get in on. It is hit and miss whether it hurts my shoulders/back, sometimes I don't feel a thing, other times it's uncomfortable and i think this has to do with the stretching problem, the material is soft but it gives, his bum will be next to my belly button to begin with and he will sink lower and lower the longer i 'wear' him (and who wants to wake a sleepy baby to re-adjust). It can be warm for me and him.
I do recommend it, just know what to expect and what you want from a carrier.

I love, love, love our Moby Wrap! I've been using one since shortly after our son was born and now for our baby daughter.
It does have a learning curve but once you get the hang of it it'll become your favorite baby wearing device. I choose our Moby over my sling and our soft structured carrier.
I can carry either my toddler or baby in it and know that they are not only happy but comfortable and secure. There have been numerous times when I have put my screaming child into the Moby only to have them fall asleep a very short time later.
The best part about it is that it is so versatile and anyone from Grandma to Daddy to big sis can use it for our baby or toddler, back, front...wherever!. I'm 5'2'' and 105lbs and it can fit anyone of us perfectly. It's also the only carrier that doesn't put strain on my back and shoulders. I have walked a couple miles wearing my daughter without pain anywhere-that to me is amazing!
Our Moby has been an absolute back and sanity saver!!

i love love my moby!! it really has been the best gift i have ever bought myself and my son. i used it the day he was born,he was under 5lbs. these are great for preemies and newborns because they are so close to u and feel your warmth. and while i breastfeed it was an added plus cause i could stick him in there and walk around anywhere and no one knew. i use it with him now i just face him out so he can see whats going on. i also use it w/ my 2year old on my back...i cant say enough about these...

I love the Moby. You can use it from birth on up. Our little one is now six months and already almost 20 pounds. I wear her in the facing out position and she just loves it. She watches everything. I did try her on my back with my hubby's help and once again, she was totally content. Only complaint is that it was a bit too hot to wear in the real heat of the summer, but still one of my favorite carriers along with the Ergo.

I love my Moby and so does my ds! He was born at the start of cold & flu season (including H1N1), so I thought I'd be confined to the house until Spring. Moby Wrap to the rescue! I just pop him in the wrap and out we go to the grocery store and oh-so-germy Wal-Mart...folks would look at his little head, but never tried to touch him since he was so close to me. PLUS he stayed warm and cozy, and he slept thru most shopping trips.
Yes, there is a learning curve to putting it on correctly, but it's not that hard. I would say it's not the quickest or easiest option as far as carriers go--but it's definitely the most comfortable and versatile, and one that will grow with baby (and shrink with mom as she loses the baby weight). HINT: Dress baby accordingly when going out in the Moby. Just because it's chilly outside doesn't mean baby won't be toasty warm under the layers of fabric in the Moby and next to your body. Also, put the Moby on BEFORE you leave the house. Yes you'll look like a Star Wars character, but only until you put the baby in the carrier. It saves time and keeps the fabric off the ground that way.

Our son was 4lbs when we brought him home, he was born 8 weeks early. He was really cramping my active husband's style and I bought them the moby with the restriction that he can't use power tools with the baby on. The baby loves to be in it and now that he is older we can have him facing out. My husband loves it because he can hike, do chores, etc with the baby on and it is truley hands free. You can lean forward in this and don't have to worry about the baby coming out. At $40 for a new one it's a no brainer. If you have trouble tying it, go to You tube, there are tons of videos to help.

I love my moby wrap. I also have a Baby Bjorn carrier, as well as a Beco Butterfly. I always prefer to use the moby wrap over the others (but I would also rate the beco as a 5 too). My babies feel very secure and comfortable rear and forward facing. I was intimidated at first because it does appear as if it could be complicated to use, but after using it just 2-3 times I realized it really is easy. I have twins and never liked wearing them in my moby at the same time, but being able to wear one of them sure does make life easier. It washes well and is easy to travel with. I just roll it up, stuff it in the carry bag it came with, and put it with everything else in my big diaper bag. I do want to note that my husband won't use it, he thinks it is too girly. If you're looking to buy just one carrier to share with your dh you probably will both be happier sharing something a little more masculine in appearance.

Great product. Worth every penny. A sanity saver for a first time mom with fussy baby. DD had reflux & kept crying after her feedings. But with the moby wrap, not only did she feel secure as I held her,but she was kept in an upright position with GREATLY help with the reflux. It also feels like you a get a second set of hands ! You wan eat, drink, or read.Highly recommended.

I tried this on in the store and LOVED it. The fit is great and I can carry our daughter for hours without being sore. The ONLY reason I'm giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is that it is really a pain to try to get on while standing in a parking lot. The long fabric gets FILTHY from hanging on the ground while I try to get it on....There are times I wish I had a buckle carrier that was a bit simpler.

My daughter and I both love our Moby! We used it daily from the time she was about 2 weeks old until she was about 12 months old and wanting to walk more often than not - we still occasionally use it, but she is walking more than a mile a day now, and so we don't get to carry her much! I only found it took two tries to become adept at wrapping it, and if I was going to drive somewhere (grocery store, etc) I would just put it on at home and pop her in it when we got there to avoid having to put it on in the parking lot - as the tails do tend to drag the ground since there is a good bit of fabric there!
It has been our very favorite sling (and we have tried a good number of them!) - Simple to use, affordable, and excellent weight distribution. I have given Mobys to several friends who had decided against babywearing due to uncomfortable carriers and/or back problems, and they had great success with them too!

This is one of my favorite carriers because it's so easy on my back and my baby loves it. It's also my sister's favorite, too, and she mainly uses it to put her baby to sleep. I can't do that because my baby has eczema and if I place him facing me, he'll just be rubbing his face all over my chest. So, I put it so my baby is facing out. In the winter, I wear a large coat and zip it up up to my baby's neck. So, it looks like I have two heads stacked on top of each other. I swear EVERYONE stares and adores my baby when I walk around like that. My baby loves it too cuz he gets to experience the world like his mommy. I have another wrap like this one, but I realize that this is much better because of the fabric - not to stretchy, not too stiff, just perfect. The only tricky thing about this carrier is that it's hard to put it on in parking lot or any place with dirty floors cuz the ends of the wrap may drag on the ground when you try to put it on, so I just put it on at home and then go out to grocery store or wherever.

I love my Moby Wrap! My 9 month old son will not sleep in any other carrier, but this one. It does take a little bit of learning, but it is definitely worth it!! It's soft with a little stretch and is very comfy for me. I like that it distributes his weight over both shoulders. I HIGHLY recommend this carrier to all mamas even if you don't have a newborn. I read some reviews that it stretches out and sags, but I have not had that experience at all. This is a must have!

The Moby Wrap was a perfect solution for my colicky baby. We used it daily. I don't use it as much now just because I bought a Beco and find that easier to take on and off while on the go. The Moby was perfect for when he was little though. I felt like he was secure, his head was stable when it was tucked in and he quieted down as soon as I put him in it.

My son and I love this carrier! He is a really tall baby, and I'm a short petite mom- so a lot of front carriers are difficult for us to use because his head is in front of my face. Not with the Moby! Works great because he can sit a little bit lower. Also, there aren't a lot of front carriers out there that let you put a toddler facing outward or facing you- but you can with the Moby. I like it best when for times when he'll be riding for a while since its not quite as easy to get him in and out as our Kangaroo Corner carrier, its also comfy enough for me to wear him for hours (he's about 24 lbs at the moment).
