Behind the Diapers (2003-Present)

Kathy is new to the world of cloth diapering. Having been inspired by articles, reviews, and WAHMs at Diaper Pin, she has started to give cloth diapering a try. Using some hand-me-downs from her sister, Kathy used the first cloth diaper on her first son Ben in March 2003.

Before Ben and Diaper Pin, Kathy has worked as a computer-aided civil engineer and programmer for the past 8 years. She married her college boyfriend, Jung, in 1997, and together have moved around to fulfill long-term company assignments of her husband and finding a city they could call home. Since she has been married, they have lived in Dallas, Atlanta, Boston, and are now back in the DFW area. They decided to make DFW the location of their first home. Once they settled down, they decided to start a family and had their first child, Ben, in September 2002.

Kathy spent Ben's first year as a stay-at-home mom. As her son was getting into more of a routine, she thought she might need things to do during her free time. Jennifer, the creator of Diaper Pin and Kathy's sister, suggested that she could always work on the Diaper Pin site. The Diaper Pin work started as a way to keep busy during her son's naps, but she slowly started taking on small improvements of the site. She looks forward to working on Diaper Pin each day and learning about cloth diapering on Cut of Cloth, and Diaper Pin's reviews and forums.

While keeping up with Ben and Daniel takes up a lot of time, she spends the rest of her free time updating her family's website so her long-distance immediate family will get weekly updates on Ben. She also loves to scrapbook, cook, do garden/lawn work, read, travel to visit family, and do crossword puzzles with her husband.
